Word of Life Christian Fellowship located in Beeville, Texas, is a non-denominational church which has been in existence for the past 15 years. Word of Life was formed in 1985 under the leadership of Pastor Doyle Barnett. He was assisted in the development of the church by Rev. Travis Barnett and Dale Switzer. In 1987, Word of Life took a step of faith and purchased the Barnett Electric Building on 4900 N. St. Mary's, renovating and decorating it to become offices and a lovely sanctuary to accommodate 250 people. The congregation grew to 150 members. In 1992, Word of Life built a Family Center Pavilion, located on the property formerly owned by the Bronco Drive-In. Ron MacIntosh led the first Easter service held at the Pavilion in April 1995. In November, 1996, the congregation moved into the Upper Room for all services when construction began on the present building. Our first service was held January 24, 1999, with the new sanctuary being completed in February. Dedication services with Kevin Powers, Dan Hope, Kenny Howe, and Billy Sanders were held March 25th through 27th. Word of Life is located on BUS 181 on the north side of Beeville.
