We need to trust God with ALL our heart.
Then we can trust Him for a supernatural experience in Him.
It is uncommon these days to see someone totally trust in God. We need to trust
in NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING else!!
This is a critical hour. The hour of our visitation. We need to seek the Lord
like never before.
2 Tim. 2:25-26
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure
will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; [26] And that they
may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by
him at his will.
The devil has a snare set up for us. A snare is a well-conceived trap! This
kind of trap does not appear to be a trap!
We need to recognize some of the traps.
First, the devil tries to get us to make some excuse for our weaknesses.
Psalm 119:10
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy
commandments.
Psalm 124:6-8
Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
[7] Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare
is broken, and we are escaped. [8] Our help is in the name of the Lord, who
made heaven and earth.
Psalm 141:9-10
Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the
workers of iniquity. [10] Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst
that I withal escape.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Doyle talked about how he snared a badger once. The badger chewed off his foot
in order to get out of the snare. When we are snared by the devil, we will
lose something of ourself. But if we don't mind losing this, then we can
escape the snare. The people who care about losing something will be caught.
God wants to deal with our innermost motives.
2 Samuel 11:1
And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings
go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and
all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But
David TARRIED still at Jerusalem.
2 Samuel 21:15
Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went
down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and
David waxed faint.
David stayed home when it was time to go to war. The devil was laying a snare
for him. He knew he had a weakness for women, and he set up the fall of David.
In chapter 21 we see that David reaped losing the war because he grew faint--
a result of not going to war when he was supposed to.
The devil wants to take us out of the battle. He got David to get out of the
battle. And then he used his weakness against him.
We need to guard against these traps, and let the Lord purge our soul of all
impurities. Then we will not be snared. We will be delivered out of the
snares of the enemy!
